Interpreting a graphical summary of a sample
Simulations can also be used to help assess characteristics of random samples. Features in sample data such as outliers, clusters or skewness, can be assessed by examining how often they appear in simulated random samples from a population without such features.
Strength measurements
In this example, simulated random samples from a symmetric normal distribution will be used to help assess whether skewness in a data set might have arisen by chance.
