Mean and standard deviation
The mean and standard deviation of a set of linearly transformed values can be calculated from the mean and standard deviation before transformation.
In the exercise below, use the templates under the stacked dot plot to find the mean and standard deviation of a data set in different units, then type them into the result boxes. (Hint: The templates that should be used depend on whether you are transforming from, say, hours to minutes or vice versa.)
