Swiss bank note dimensions

Click Show Groups to distinguish the genuine and forged notes in the scatterplot matrix. The Setosa variety is a distinct cluster in all scatterplots but the other two varieties have distributions that overlap slightly, especially in their sepal dimensions.

The data set contains four measurements that were made from each of 200 old Swiss 1000-franc bank notes. Two measurements describe the overall dimensions of the notes (the heights of the bills at their left and right edges) and two describe the printing within the bills (the heights of the margins at the top and bottom of the notes).

Half of the notes were known to be forged.
