Iris data

Click Show Groups to display the three different varieties of iris in the scatterplot matrix. The Setosa variety is a distinct cluster in all scatterplots but the other two varieties have distributions that overlap slightly, especially in their sepal dimensions.

One Setosa iris is an outlier for that cluster in most scatterplots. Was it mis-classified? (It is impossible to check with such old data.)

The data set contains measurements of the sepals (length and width) and petals (length and width) of 150 irises that were collected from the Gaspe Peninsula. Botanists have classified them into three different varieties.
