Averaging Options

Use this to specify averaging options to be used in a REML prediction.

Available data

This lists data structures appropriate to the current input field. It lists variates for specifying the time-points, censoring and frequencies, and factors for the groups. The contents will change as you move from one field to the next. Double-click a name to copy it to the current input field or type the name.

Take averages of combinations present

When selected, a space is provided for you to specify a list of factors, where any combination of levels of these factors that does not occur in the data will be omitted from the averaging. Where a prediction is found to be inestimable, i.e. not invariant to the model parameterization, a missing value is given.

Specify marginal weights

When selected, a space is provided for you to specify a one-way table classified by any of the factors in the model. This is then used to calculate the weight to be used for each fitted value when calculating the averages. When no weights are supplied equal weights are assumed.
