Genstat Server

The Genstat Server is a separate program running in the background that processes commands sent from the Genstat Windows interface. These are used to define data, perform analyses, and output the results for display in the Output window. A Genstat icon in the system tray indicates that the server is running; it may be either idle or actively processing commands. The current state of the server is indicated by the colour of the icon and also flagged on the Genstat status bar.
