Genstat spreadsheets use many of the standard Windows navigation methods to move between cells such as Enter, Page Up and tabbing. If you have selected one or more cells you can expand the selection using shortcut keys, rather than dragging with the mouse.
Navigating cells in a spreadsheet
Pressing Enter moves the cursor down one cell by default. If you prefer to move across a row, rather than down a column, you can set this preference as follows:
- From the menu select Tools | Spreadsheet Options | then click the Columns tab.
- Select Enter key moves cursor across columns then click OK.
The following shortcut key combinations let you speed up your navigation by ‘jumping’ to the start or end of a row or and column.
