REML Meta Analysis Terms

Defines the residual term an experiment within a meta-analysis (combined analysis of several experiments).

Experiments

Lists the different levels of the experiment factor. Select the level for the experiment that you want specify the residual term for.

Available data

This lists data structures appropriate for the Residual Model Term. Double-click a name to copy it to the Residual model term field or type the name.

Residual model term

Specifies a formula for the model term to be used as the residual.

Initial value for variance

Allows an initial estimate to be provided for the residual variance of the experiment.

Error construction

Specifies whether the covariance structure is to be defined as a single structure for the whole term, or if it is to be constructed as a direct product of matrices corresponding to the factors in the Residual model term.

Covariance models

Once a term is specified, a covariance model can be selected for each factor or the whole term, as required:

  • identity
  • autoregressive order 1 or 2
  • moving average order 1 or 2
  • ARMA(1,1)
  • diagonal
