Restrict to Random Rows

You can apply a restriction to the spreadsheet using a random subset of rows. When you enter a specific number or a percentage of rows, Genstat will exclude rows leaving a random selection containing this number of rows. This filter will replace any existing restrictions you have applied.

  1. From the menu select Spread | Restrict/Filter | Random Rows.

  2. Enter a number or percentage of rows to be included.
If you select Subset on update, then any subsequent updates will send only this subset of data to the Genstat server.
  3. Click OK.
