W-test for Normality

Select menu: Stats | Statistical Tests | W-test for Normality

The Shapiro-Wilk test assesses whether a sample of data comes from a Normal distribution. The output displays the statistic, W, with its probability value under the assumption that the data are Normal. So a low probability indicates that the data are unlikely to be from a Normal distribution.

  1. After you have imported your data, from the menu select
Stats | Statistical Tests | W-test for Normality.
