Select menu: Stats | Survey Analysis | Create Survey Weights
Use this to generate weights to be used in survey analysis.
- After you have imported your data, from the menu select
Stats | Survey Analysis | Create Survey Weights. - Fill in the fields as required then click Run.
Available data
This lists data structures appropriate to the current input field. The contents will change as you move from one field to the next. You can double-click a name to copy it to the current input field or type it in.
Data format
Specifies the format of the data for creating the weights. Select Whole population to supply the units sampled. Alternatively, select Response data only, if the data are to be supplied using the number of primary sampling units in each stratum.
Units sampled
A variate containing the units that have been sampled. It should contain a value for each unit in the population, with unsampled or non-responding units being indicated by missing values. If the format of the data specified is for the Whole population then this must be supplied. Similarly, for a simple unstratified random survey using the Response data only data arrangement the units sampled must be supplied.
Stratification factor
For a stratified survey, this is the factor indicating the stratum to which each unit belongs.
Number of primary sampling units in each stratum
When the response data is supplied this specifies a scalar, factor or table containing the number of units in each stratum, or for a multistage design this specifies the number of primary sampling units.
Sampling units
A factor indicating the primary sampling units.
Number of secondary sampling units in each primary sampling unit
A scalar, factor or table specifying the number of units for each level of the Sampling units for a two-way design. This option is only available for a two-way design where the response data is supplied.
Save weights in
Specify the name of an identifier to save the survey weights within.
