Fit Distribution Options

Selects information to be printed after a distribution has been fitted and imposes or relaxes certain constraints for some distributions.

Display

This specifies which items of output are to be produced by the analysis.

Estimated parameters Parameters of the model fitted by the analysis
Sample statistics These are generated from the raw data and can be compared to those estimated for the fitted distribution.
Fitted values Produces a table of Observed and Estimated frequencies for the grouped data
Estimated proportions Cumulative proportions estimated from the fitted distribution for given X values

Double normal

When fitting the Double Normal distribution you can constrain the model to fit a common variance parameter for the two component normal distributions.

Location parameter

Certain continuous distributions (gamma, Pareto, log-normal, Weibull) are specified for x > 0. For these distributions, an additional parameter can be included in the model, allowing a shift of x-origin.

X-deviates

Having estimated the parameters of the required distribution, the cumulative distribution function (CDF) can be evaluated at specified X values. These are given as a list of numbers or the identifier of a variate containing the required values. Checking Estimated proportions in the Display options will result in output of the estimated values of the CDF corresponding to the X-deviates.
