Genetic Predictors and associated information

Use this to supply data structure names for the genetic predictors and associated information to be used within a QTL linkage analysis scan.

Available data

This lists data structures appropriate to the current input field. Double-click a name to copy it to the current input field or type the name. When data has been stored in a QTL data space then by default the available data will display only the data structures present within that data space. You can right-click on the available data list to switch between displaying data only within the QTL data space and all data within Genstat. If the QTL data space has not been used, then all current data structures within Genstat will be displayed.

Population

This displays the population type for the QTL analysis and the relevant fields to supply data structures for the population will be enabled on the dialog.

Additive effects

A pointer to a set of variates specifying the additive genetic predictors. The pointer should contain a set of variates where each variate contains the genetic effects for each virtual marker.

Additive effects 2nd parent

For a CP population this should be a pointer specifying the additive genetic predictor effects for the 2nd parent. The pointer should contain a set of variates where each variate contains the genetic effects for each virtual marker.

Dominance effects

For a CP or F2 population this should be a pointer specifying the dominance effects. The pointer should contain a set of variates where each variate contains the genetic effects for each virtual marker.

Linkage groups

A factor specifying the linkage groups for each additive genetic predictor.

Position within linkage group

A variate specifying the positions within linkage group for each additive genetic predictor.
